Before I started my semester abroad in Kuala Lumpur, I had no idea what Malaysia and Malaysian culture was like. During my time there, I was able to discover so many new places and meet new people, and I can say that I have taken Malaysia to my heart. I am so glad that I took this step and thus had the best time of my life! Thank you to everyone who made my time so unique!
Beyond Abroad gave me the possibility to pursue my studies in Malaysia for one semester. Of course I had to go! Here I met amazing people and I made international friends while following the courses of my choice in my host university. I discovered a new country, its culture and people. This change of scenery made me leave my comfort zone and I really benefited from it. This trully is the experience of a lifetime!
I went to Malaysia to do my second semester and without lying, it was the best travel in my entire life. You can do everything you want, drink a coconut on the paradise beach, take pictures with monkeys even if sometimes the steal your snacks, do a trek in the forest, be the king of the world at 452 m on the floor... If you hesitate or have any questions, please don't be shy and ask me. One piece of advice: Let's discover the world.
First, when I was considering studying abroad I thought it would be extremely difficult to go but Beyond Abroad made it very easy.
I just browsed through all the opportunities that they offer, selected the one that was most interesting for me, filled up some papers, sent them and boom, I got in to the university that I wanted!
Studying and living in Asia had been on my bucket list for a while, but I was unable to do so before learning about Beyond Abroad (because my university had no exchanges). Neverthekess, things worked out, and in the short time I have been here, I highly suggest a semester in Malaysia! Here, you will be surrounded by welcoming people from many cultures. Furthermore, it's very affordable to live and travel here compared to Europe! If you have any questions about the program or Malaysia, feel free to ask me anytime! 🙂
